The “Hope for the Little Ones” Foundation began its work 15 years ago when it created the “Little House” – a place where babies and young children, temporarily deprived of parental care, receive security, attention, and love. Today, there are two houses, and they have provided care for 192 children, 179 of whom have already returned to a family environment.
Currently, the teams care for 16 children up to 5 years old. Municipal funding covers only 60% of the required budget, while the remaining amount is secured through donations.
To continue providing a nurturing environment and healing childhood trauma with love, the foundation needs support for essential resources: infant formula, food, diapers, cosmetics, and sanitary supplies.
For the past 5 years, “Hope for the Little Ones” has also operated a mobile support team, reaching families in severe hardship to prevent separation between children and parents. So far, the team has assisted over 300 families, providing emotional and psychological support, as well as essential items such as food, medicine, clothing, and school supplies. Currently, 50 extremely poor families, including large households and families with children with disabilities, receive weekly assistance.
The foundation’s mission is to ensure that every child grows up in a safe, loving, and stable family environment. Over the past year, it has expanded its support to elderly people living alone in Northwestern Bulgaria, the most economically disadvantaged region in the country. The support includes food, essential household items, emotional care, and social activities such as adapted exercise, breathing practices, and cultural events in local community centres.
The foundation requires assistance to provide food, sanitary supplies, and necessities to children, families, and elderly individuals in need.
Together, we can change lives.
One child. One family. One elderly person.
Everyone needs a chance, support, and hope.

We provide attentive and individualised care to babies and young children at risk, supporting them through the transition from family crisis to the creation of a safe and stable family environment.

From July 2010 to the end of March 2025, 105 children have been placed in care.
The “Hope for the Little Ones” Foundation Center, known as the Little House, is located in the Knyazhevo district in a cozy two-storey home with a yard, rented on a long-term basis. Up to eight babies and young children live there — a place that offers them warmth, attention, and love.
In the Little House, the children have their own personal space, dedicated care, and the opportunity to fully participate in daily life — from shared meals and walks to developing their individual talents.
Here, they grow surrounded by love and support, so that one day they can give love because they have known what it means to be loved.

The Little House in Ovcha Kupel

The Little House in the Ovcha Kupel district is a cozy two-storey home with a large yard and plenty of greenery. It accommodates six babies or young children and includes two additional spaces for crisis accommodation or substitute care in an environment that mimics a family setting.
